How to Install Glue Down LVT Flooring: Step-by-Step Guide
From subfloor prep to the final roller pass - the no-nonsense Monster guide to glue-down LVT.
Glue-down LVT gives the most premium feel of any LVT installation: zero hollow sound, perfect plank alignment, and the longest lifespan.
Step 1 - Subfloor. It must be clean, dry (≤2% CM), level to 3mm in 2m, and smooth. Self-level any low spots.
Step 2 - Acclimatise. Lay packs flat in the room for 48 hours at install temperature.
Step 3 - Adhesive. We recommend UZIN KE 49 HT - a pressure-sensitive adhesive that gives you a working window without compromising bond strength.
Step 4 - Lay. Spread adhesive with a notched trowel (V1 notch is standard for LVT). Wait for the adhesive to go tacky - usually 15–25 minutes.
Step 5 - Roll. A 50kg roller within 30 minutes of laying, then again at 60 minutes. This is the step most DIYers skip - and it's why their floors fail.
