Glue Down vs Click LVT: Which Should You Choose?
Flooring Monster Team·2 October 2025· 1 min read
Different install method, different finish, different lifespan. The honest breakdown.
Glue-down: ultra-thin (2–3mm), dead-flat finish, no hollow tap sound, longest lifespan. Needs a near-perfect subfloor and is a one-shot install.
Click (Rigid Core / SPC): floats over the subfloor, more forgiving of imperfections, faster install, removable. Slightly hollow underfoot, slightly thicker (4–6mm).
DIYers - pick click. Pros and high-end fits - pick glue-down.
