Cotswold Handscraped Antique Haze 125mm is a deep aged brown oak with a hand-scraped surface. Where the brushed finishes lift the grain, hand-scraping works the whole board — gentle undulations and tool marks across the face that catch the light and read as genuine age rather than a printed effect.
It is one of two hand-scraped finishes in the range, and a step up in both process and price from the brushed colours.
Real oak, properly built
This is a 14/3mm engineered board: a genuine 3mm oak wear layer bonded to a multi-ply core. The 3mm veneer is thick enough to be sanded and refinished at least twice — though with a hand-scraped floor, bear in mind that sanding flat removes the very texture you bought it for. The engineered construction is far more stable than solid oak across changes in heat and humidity, which is why it works over underfloor heating where solid timber does not.

Installation
Acclimatise for 48–72 hours before fitting, leave an expansion gap at every perimeter, and allow around 10% for cuts and waste. Professional fitting recommended.
