Cotswold Hand Scraped Brushed Distress Mist 190mm is a pale grey-washed oak — soft, misty grey-beige, and the only light and cool-toned colour in the Cotswold range. On a wide 190mm board the wash and the surface texture both have room to read properly, which is where this finish is at its best.
It carries both treatments: hand-scraping for surface undulation, then brushing to open the grain before the wash is applied.
Real oak, properly built
This is a 14/3mm engineered board: a genuine 3mm oak wear layer bonded to a multi-ply core, sandable and refinishable at least twice — though sanding a distressed floor flat removes the texture and the wash together. The engineered construction is far more stable than solid oak across changes in heat and humidity, which is why it works over underfloor heating where solid timber does not.

Installation
Acclimatise for 48–72 hours before fitting, leave an expansion gap at every perimeter, and allow around 10% for cuts and waste. Professional fitting recommended.
