Cotswold Hand Scraped Brushed Distress Mist 125mm is a pale grey-washed oak — soft, misty grey-beige, and the only light and cool-toned colour in the Cotswold range. Everything else here is a warm oak; Distress Mist is the one that will sit under a cool or contemporary scheme.
It carries both treatments: hand-scraping for surface undulation, then brushing to open the grain before the wash is applied. It is the most heavily worked board in the range.
Real oak, properly built
This is a 14/3mm engineered board: a genuine 3mm oak wear layer bonded to a multi-ply core, sandable and refinishable at least twice — though sanding a distressed floor flat removes the texture and the wash together. The engineered construction is far more stable than solid oak across changes in heat and humidity, which is why it works over underfloor heating where solid timber does not.

Installation
Acclimatise for 48–72 hours before fitting, leave an expansion gap at every perimeter, and allow around 10% for cuts and waste. Professional fitting recommended.
