Cotswold Brushed Bourbon 125mm is a rich, deep warm brown — whisky-toned, as the name suggests, and the darkest of the four brushed finishes. It is the traditional choice: the colour most people picture when they picture an oak floor in a period house.
Real oak, properly built
This is a 14/3mm engineered board: a genuine 3mm oak wear layer bonded to a multi-ply core. The 3mm veneer is thick enough to be sanded and refinished at least twice, so this is a floor with decades in it rather than one you replace. The engineered construction is far more stable than solid oak across changes in heat and humidity, which is why it works over underfloor heating where solid timber does not.

Choosing a width
At 125mm this is the narrower Cotswold plank — a closer-set, traditional look that pairs naturally with the darker Bourbon tone in period rooms. The 190mm version gives a broader, more contemporary board.
Installation
Acclimatise for 48–72 hours before fitting, leave an expansion gap at every perimeter, and allow around 10% for cuts and waste. Professional fitting recommended.
Also available
Bourbon is also available as a 190mm plank and as herringbone blocks.
Delivery
Free pallet delivery on orders over £650, otherwise £39.99. Typically 3–7 working days.
