Looks nice but needs a really flat subfloor or you’ll get lumps. Wish I'd known that before starting, but the end result looks good.
The herringbone style makes it feel high-end and the soft birch tone goes with everything. I did it solo in two evenings.
We spent a lot of time looking for the right floor and honestly this was the one that ticked all the boxes. The colour is spot on. It’s that soft, natural woodland kind of tone. Not too pale or washed out, just really warm and calming. It’s made our living room feel lighter but still cosy, which is exactly what we were going for.
Installing it was pretty straightforward in the end but I won’t lie, the screeding was a bit of a mission. We had a few dips in the subfloor and didn’t realise how much that matters with glue-down. Took some trial and error. Once we got that sorted it made everything else easier.
Flooring Monster were actually super helpful. I messaged them asking what adhesive to use and they came back quickly with a proper recommendation based on our subfloor type. The glue worked great. No strong smell or mess and it held really well.
Perfect mix of rustic and modern. We used this in our hallway and it’s made such a difference. Cleans well and doesn’t show much dust either
Such a lovely floor. We went for this because of the soft wood tone and it hasn’t disappointed. It's got that proper forest feel to it, like real timber but easier to look after.
